Location. Just outside of metropolitan St. Paul, the Afton House Inn Bed and Breakfast is an historic property located in the town of Afton, Minnesota. The inn was constructed in 1867 overlooking the St. Croix River on the Minnesota-Wisconsin border. Plenty of recreation is available in the area, including river cruises, hot-air balloon rides and skiing at nearby Afton Alps Recreation Area. The Mall of America, the largest mall in the country, is 23 miles away and features an indoor amusement park.
